last chance for 2010

brimfield is starting again so soon! the last show for the year is september 7-12. i can't wait to go peruse through the acres and acres of fields under the HOT late summer sun with my bennett boy.

here are some finds during the july show this year.
{i wish i would have been more camera happy}
children's chairs
chinese benches
perfect for a tea party? i think SO
old newspress letters
bowls of color. there were endless stacks of brilliantly painted bowls!
industrial side table
shelf fillers
the most amazing outdoor garden dealer. my mom was IN HEAVEN. i think we went back three times
50's leather occasional chairs. $50 a piece
low french chair
french chaise to join the chair. wouldn't this be picture perfect at the foot of a bed?
old cement planters that were so heavy! any patio would glow with this piece.

all-star of the day?
bennett didn't make a peep! it was so hot and bright. he slept and chatted the day away. only time he cried? when the policeman was approaching to give us a ticket. those lungs scared that man right away. you'd think he was trained or something...

cross your fingers he's that good at the show to come.

{if you see anything you like or would want me to look for something you have in mind, please let me know. i'd be happy to shop for you!}

this is where i wanna be

leslie klotz designed this hampton cottage that is to DIE for! it was featured in the house beautiful magazine. i have actually pulled images of it before, but never realized that all the images were from the same home. it is HEAVENLY!
charming as can be...

the different warm tones come together in this odd but amazing grouping of objects.

don't you LOVE this birch bench? it is found in a guest room. i love the symmetrical artwork too.

this quilt was found at brimfield. can't wait for july 13th to roll around!

i love the chinoiserie headboards! the red paint on them and the lantern really pull the room together.

this bathroom would be sure to brighten your day every morning1 i wouldn't mind waking up to this!

the navy paint is used as a great accent. it really broadens the space against the white woodwork.
loving the trellis as always. also, do you notice that lovely lamp in the background? christopher spitzmiller! remember this post?

i love the black door (drama, drama, drama!), the deer head, and monkey print. who said a kitchen had to have a rooster?

the kitchen is so clean and simple! the lack of upper cabinets makes it feel more spacious.

that coffee table is UNREAL! it is so light to the eyes... perfect for this light room. and no rug? that's interesting. i think i would throw one in there to warm the room up, but it does look nice and clean without it. can we talk about the striped chairs? i want them, i need them, oh baby, oh baby!

and. HELLO! it doesn't get any better than this! chartreuse, chartreuse, chartreuse. my goodness! these louis XVI chairs are beautiful with the leather on front and coral/cream cotton on the back. i really LOVE these! the sea horses were found at her local garden antique store. how FUN!

this cottage is a dream come true. the colors, the finishes, the fabrics, the furniture... everything is beautiful and vibrant. the space is used so wisely and the mix of different styles is perfectly balanced.

well done, leslie.
i would love to move in right about now.

ps. is the hardwood OAK? i' going to look into that. it's breath taking!
